[nabentre] mlm is really a great thing

Franchising is NOT MLM.  MLM is multi level marketing.  In Franchising there
is only 2 levels.  The company of McDonalds in the first level, then the
owner of your local McDonalds is the second level.  Franchising would be MLM
if the local McDonalds owner recruited other McDonalds owners, and that
first owner made a percentage of the owners that came in under them.
Franchising does not work that way, so having a franchise is NOT MLM.

Some good examples of MLM companies are Amway, Avon, marry K, Tupperware,
Vector marketing, etc...

People can make money off MLM, but the later they get in, the harder it is
to make anything.  It does take hard work to make anything as well, it is
not a get rich over night thing, like some will have you believe.  If you
want to be really rich at MLM, start your own MLM company, and get others to
start doing your selling and recruiting.

And no matter how you want to word it, that company someone talked about,
selling the chocolate is MLM.
