[nabentre] mlm is really a great thing

Hi Loren,
I guess I didn't do a good job of saying what I was trying to say. Let me try again. I felt that you were a little over the top when you said thingsthat attacked Brian personally such as saying that his initials spelled BS. That gave me a bad impression of you and I don't know you. I didn't feel that it was necessary for you to do that, especially since you were trying to promote what you feel is a good thing. That repelled me from listening to your argument for the benefits of MLM. Then, right behind that, there's the natural tendency for all humans to generalize and say "Man, if this guy is like that, maybe all of those people are like that," which I recognized and resisted, but I said that I would join someone elses team if I decide to do this MLM thing, because I wanted to deal with a person who isn't so defensive. If I would continue to investigate and find that this sort of thing is for me, then you may have just lost a potential customer or team member by being less gracious than you could have been.

The stuff you said below makes me feel good about you, though. You say that you want to help people, and I feel that that's wonderful. I just got a bad impression of you from your former tone. I was thinking that you needed to have a thicker skin is all.

I hope that was somewhat more clear and that you are not offended by what I say here.

Thanks.

James,

I'm not sure how to respond to your comments either. From what I have read
from other posts on this list, Liz is a very inteligent individual.
However, none of us know it all. We are all ignorant of many things.
Ignorance hurts humanity. Look what ignorance of the abilities of the blind
have done to those of us who are blind. Wishing that you, Liz Brian, or
anyone else realizes their full potential and finds what ever it is she or
she wants does not make me a bad person. When you label something a scam,
you make a very serious charge. And I have found that when a person makes
the statement that mlm is a scam, he or she has confused it with a pyramid
or other illegal schemes. I could sign up the netire world in my Shaklee
group. However, until someone buys a product, nobody even myself is going
to make a cent. Ignorance hurts. Their remarks hurt me. They hurt my
family. And whether it is realized or not, it hurts the maker of the
remarks. Being a distributor of any mlm products may not be for you. You
still can benefit from what is out there. The choice of whether or not you
do that is up to you. But when I hear that a blind individual has lost his
or her job, it bugs me. When I hear that a blind person is denied a job
just because he or she is blind, it really makes me angry. When I hear that
someone has health issues, and I know what I can share with him or her can
bring a chance at a better life, then I have to say something. And when
someone, without knowing what things are really about, makes false charges,
I must respond. Maybe standing up for what I believe offends you. If it
does, I'm sorry. Someone earlier told me that I am wasting my time. That
is probably true. However, there is something inside of me that will not
let me give up on people.
