[nabentre] Google AddSense Help

I'm not sure if I completely understand your problem. Did they fail to send
your pin? If so, you could ask them to send it again. If they sent it, then
is the problem that their web site makes it so that you can't enter the
number? Or are you having trouble finding a reader to read the postcard with
your pin on it? If it's a problem with the web site itself, then we should
advocate that Google fix the problem. If the problem is simply that you need
a reader, then you simply need a reader.
I find, now that more and more things are available to me electronically,
that I use readers somewhat less than I used to. I hope I never lose the
skill of recruiting, training, and working with readers. I think that, for a
long time to come, working with readers will continue to be an essential
blindness skill. It worries me that young blind people in particular are not
comfortable or competent with dealing with live human readers. A few have
even behaved as if it were some sort of affront that they might have to do
so. I think that's a shame. I'm not suggesting that you're behaving that
way, just commenting on a trend I find disturbing.

Subject: [nabentre] Google AddSense Help

Hi,
For those who don't know, AdSense is a program Google runs that allows
someone to put bits of code on their web sites. When someone clicks it, they
pay you. The code causes ads to appear on your site.

My problem is this. They sent me a post card with my pin number because my
earnings got to the point where they could pay me if I only could read the
pin number and type it into my account settings. I was told that they only
send the pin in the mail. They don't give it to you any other way. I've
tried to contact them by phone, but must not be getting to the write people.
I was told to post on the Adsense help forum. I posted, saw my post right
after I posted it, but then never saw it again. That made me think that the
post was moderated and rejected. Does anyone have any advice on the best way
to follow up about this?

Thanks.

Jim
