[nabentre] Good morning all

That does present a problem. How do we as blind people use cues such as the
ones that incidental visual experiences or such other sight based cues
generate for our sighted peers? I for one use my web site to do that, and I
also make it a point of hosting a dialogue or something where it is clear
that I am here to promote myself and what I offer. Would promotion through
houses of worship be possible? Or perhaps hosting an event at a local
watering hole or some like venue? One could in conjunction with a bar or
coffee shop co-host an event, it would serve our purposes of getting traffic
and attention to our wares and would help the store vendor with traffic we
may generate on their behalf. Websites and making sure they are accessible
are one very important factor for the blind and our virtual way of selling
and marketing. Just a thought.

It sounds like you have similar problems as we do. My wife and I are
Independent Shaklee Distributors. One way we are told to get new people is
to talk to people. I have asked this before, but how do you find people to
talk with? It's not just as simple as doing it. When you are at a party,
how do you know from across the room, who is not currently engaged in a
conversation and approach them. One with sight can just glance and tell
this. How do you as a blind person compensate for this? What alternative
technique do you use. There have to be something to overcome this. So you
ask a very good question.
