[nabentre] Digital Recorder

Hi Brad,
Thanks. I was looking on http://www.radioshack.com, and they had one for something like $39 or $49 that you could use, then copy the files to your computer. I am pretty sure I just want it to be able to do things like record interviews with those who give me permission, or record stuff I want to remember for later.

Do you happen to know of a way to record phone conversations that is easy to set up?

Thanks.

Jim

Depending on your use. For voice noting use only you can get them on
Amazon for under $30 such as an Olympus VN6000 for example. For music
use or higher quality needs for recording WAV format probably a
couple hundred and up with SD card capabilities. Olympus has nice
units and support blind folks with voice menus on the more spendy
ones. I've a DS70 or is it 71, can't recall. It was like $325 when it
first came out but now they've all come down some. I use mine as a
mic as well for doing music work tapes, they got a pretty good mic in
them actually. For daily use I use the Olympus VN6000 and just got
another one a couple months back for $33 including shipping. I've
dropped mine several times sending it flinging across the room and it
keeps on working... after I found the battery cover and batteries
that is :). I usually go for the discontinued models because with GB
capabilities continually going up, I'd rather stay lower for
cheaper as long as it works for me. The VN6000 will record 6000
minutes on the lowest bit rate quality and I think 8 hours on its
highest quality.

Hope that helps.
