[nABEntre] New to the list and wondering if this is an official division of the Nfb

Hello,

Knowing what I know now, I really wish I had attended the National
Association of Blind Merchants  meeting at the NFB convention. But like
others, I thought National Association of Blind Merchants was only for
vendors. We all learn.

When one PURRson rather dominated the scene about a certain mlm business, some people walked out. We did not want a division for just mlm-type companies (multi-level marketing) extolled.

No expensive ones to join.No options where any amount of sight was necessary (system incompatitility with screen readers; required to drive, no opportunities where we would have to file suits etc, to get them to comply; and such reinvention of the blindness whel. Opportunities to present one's offerings during the convention itself, and separately, as I "think" we do now.

We also discovered that people intent on starting new enterprises had little excess time for the organizational work of keeping a division vibrant. Since this list was always one of the most popular projects of the division, it remains available to people even though the division itself no longer exists.

Nobody knows for certain what the next iteration of a business conference for blind people will shape up to be. It's an exciting imaginative process, thinking creatively and optimistically.

> Hi, my subject is my question. I am wondering if this is an official division of the NFB that has a board or any kind of official business or is it simply a list where entrepreneurs can ask questions or exchange ideas around being a visually impaired entrepreneur. Just trying to understand what the group is and is not here. Thanks.
