Hi Mary,
I was thinking of getting the proofreader certification in case jobs should
arise where I need that qualification. NLS has braille proofreaders and I
would like to apply when there is an opening. So do you work for a
nonprofit?
Are you full time?

As for communication, now a days most of that is email. But I was concerned
with a clerical or administrative position
where you have to handle print mail and corespondence. Often sorting mail
and filing are two tasks you need to do.

Thanks for responding. I have wanted to find another
certified braille proofreader; I know some already.

I've read braille since I was a second grader.

Ashley

Hello Ashley and everyone,

I am vice president of NABOP, and am a certified Braille proofreader for
21 years. Most of our interoffice communication is through email and through
an Intranet portal, which, for the most part is quite accessible. I hope
this helps.
