Ashley,
I work for an education service center in San Antonio, Texas. I'm the
only in-house proofreader, but we have two contractors who work from home,
too. I work with a sighted person who reads the print while I read the
Braille, so if anything needs reading, the copy holder does that. We have to
compare what's in the print to the Braille. When there is a mistake, I type
the print page number, Braille page number, Braille line number, and a
description of the error and how it can be fixed.
If you have any other questions, you can email me off list at
braille at satx.rr.com, or call me at (210) 826-9579 evenings and weekends.
Thank you for your interest in proofreading.
Mary Donahue
