[nabs-l] Video Description

Jedi,

The news doesn't need video description, it's the television shows
that would often benefit. News programs feature reporters discussing
the news and providing the video description for you.

Emergency Alert System I totally agree with. I would like to see
incentives for broadcasters to audio describe their programming--at
this time none exist. But I don't see the NFB at all in support of
descried programming, and Dr. Maurer's comments have been critical of
the idea as an unwanted and unnecessary accommodation we didn't even
ask for. I think his personal viewpoint is a bit myopic (no pun
intended), but the conclusion that the NFB not intervene is
reasonable enough to me.
