Chris,

You bring up a prime example, thank you. I have stood at lights before
waiting to make sure it was safe to cross simply because there was no
parallel traffic for me to listen to. The audible signal solves that
exact problem. I still need to listen to my traffic, but at least then
I know that my light is green.
