I definitely think humor is an effective tool; great point, Arielle!
Sometimes when I bump into people, they'll say something like, "Oops, I'm
sorry...I didn't see you there." My response to that is usually, "Oh, I
didn't see you either!" I feel that breaks the ice so to speak, and makes
them laugh and feel okay about my blindness. If I think of anything else,
I'll let you all know.
