Hello, 
if you got a handicap pass, use it when its conveniient. Consider it a "perk" of being blind; (there aren't many). 

I think of it like the free disability pass for getting into national parks. There is no reason I cant pay my own way into the parks ($25 for 7 days, or $50 for a year), but if the government wants to help me save money on vacation, who am I to say no?
