I agree. I feel that the blind are the ones that can best help individuals. 
They have been there themselves, and know how to assist others. This is not 
to say that everyone must be blind to assist.

Jim and all,

Who better to teach/mentor the blind than those of us who have been through
the challenges/frustrations/positive experiences ourselves? Sure, there are
competent sighted instructors out there, but they can only relate to their
students to a certain point.
