[nabs-l] An opinion is requested

I just want to throw this idea out there. I know that in the by-laws, it states otherwise but here it is. 
If someone is fit in qualifications to run for NABS VP and that individual will not be present at this year's convention in Detroit because that person will be studying abroad, do we not attempt to give this individual opportunity. Perhaps this individual could call in during the students' seminar. Just throwing the possibility out there. NABS will be turning over leadership and we want to place strong leaders in those vacancies. 
I just want to know what you think.
