The important thing isn't that NLS has books published by Random House but
what process NLS went through to get those books in its formats. What NLS
did was authorized by an act of Congress. (Ever get tired of hearing those
narrators say "Public Law 89-522?") The Kindle text-to-speech feature is not
supported by such a law; so RandomHouse and other authors and publishers
acquired the right to do what they did. There is no threat to NLS or other
entities supported by P.L. 89-522 or similar laws.
