Hello Sarah and listers,
The exact same techniques you described for taking still photos would
also work for doing video. In addition listening to the movement of objects
and people and following it with the video camera in the way you described
would work.

I can take pictures with some degree of success. It takes a lot of practice
to learn tthe particular camera and its quirks, where to aim your face to
get the accurate shot, etc. Doing video would be another matter, and I'm not
convinced that a person who couldn't see adequately through the lens could
do this well. I do think that some people with some degree of sight could do
it well.
