			Hey all,
I have had experience in sign language as a person with low vision, and I
have to have people sign in my hand as I'm not able to see when people sign
to me. I don't' need sign for myself, but I want to learn it because I
think it's a beautiful language. I am also hearing impaired so I went to
the Helen Keller National Center on Long Island, so I had to learn sign
language in order to talk to the students while I was living there. I want
to get back into learning sign, so I'm trying to think of ways for someone
who has low vision and who is a Braille user can learn it successfully. I
have taken three classes in sign and have had interpreters in all three
classes, and that was a huge help. I hope this information helps.

Take Care,
Kat

Subject: [nabs-l] american sign language

Hello list,
I was wondering if anyone has expirience being taught sign language
as a blind person? for the field that I wish to go into, I would like
to have the ability to communicate with the deaf, and obviously sign
would be a really good way of doing this :).

any pointers, resources, etc wuld be greatly appreciated!
  Best,
  Darian
