[nabs-l] book requests from publishers

Hello Dave,
Based on the sale of the print book to the blind reader, should the
publisher then be required to supply a complete book in the electronic copy,
with page numbers, tables, diagrams using Braille raised line drawings, etc?
If not , then why not? Is it acceptable for us to be required to purchase a
book from the publisher at full retail price which is only a portion of that
sold to sighted readers? To make certain there is no confusion here, I have
no problem paying the publisher full retail price for the book and in
exchange, we should receive complete access to all the intellectual property
contained in the book. This is not what is being supplied currently. Just
one lawyers opinion.
Best,
Dennis
