I agree, something needs to be done about this. But if a deaf-blind person can use a screen reader with a braille display, then solona or WebVisum are just as useful, convenient or inconvenient to use as they are to anyone else. Those audio alternatives are sometimes useless, because it's very hard to understand them. Most of the time I just use one of the captcha solution services even if there is an audio captcha available.
