A quick tip: If nothing else works, send the powerpoint files to
yourself as an attachment via e-mail. Then, instead of downloading,
selest 'View as HTML' (I know this is available in GMail, but I don't
know about other clients). By viewing as HTML, you get a web view in
text of the slides. To save, you can then just copy and paste into
Word and save it as a regular file. Thanks for the tip about exporting
files, though; I didn't know about that!
