[nabs-l] Sub-Minimum wage protest

Bridgit, my chapter hasn’t exactly invested in this as a priority
thus far either, and there are other problems that are coming up as
well which I don’t think will be helped by me discussing them here.

My point is that I am going to do something about this, one way or
another, and I am working with the state affiliate and anyone I can
to get this accomplished. My state president, Art Stevenson has been
on the phone almost constantly regarding this issue (and anybody who
knows Art has no hard time imagining that I’m sure!) and we’re gonna
get it done.

Do not give up hope, and do not feel that just because nobody else is
stepping forward that nothing can be done. You can step forward.
Now sometimes when you step forward, its your head that gets bitten
off first—but nobody ever said doing the right thing was easy. Do it
anyway, and grow a thick skin. People will respect you for it in the
end.

I had my own head bitten off a couple of weeks ago on nfb-talk, but
taking action was the right thing to do then. I had to go it alone,
and though I’m doing the right thing, I’m gonna lose. This time, I
am not alone, it’s still the right thing to do, and I am not going to
accept failure. This one we’re gonna win, because it’s a "we" that
is gonna win it.
