I'm curious if anyone knows how Facebook's chat system works.  I've been
trying it but either am not being successful or don't know how to read
people's responses.

I see that someone's on chat, and hit enter on the person's name.  An edit
box comes up and I begin to type, and when I'm done with my message, I hit
enter.

Then what?

I see that my message comes up, no longer in that edit box.  Below that, I
see a new edit box.

Anyone know what happens next?  I tried it with about six different people.

I'm trying the regular

www.facebook.com

website, and an not sure how to proceed.



Any help would be appreciated.
