[nabs-l] 2 quick observations

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but mainly paying dues allows one to vote in elections and to run for leadership positions. But if you want to keep in touch with NABS, be on the list etc you don't need to pay. Is this right?
I paid happily last year at convention, but this year I haven't been able to get rid of a concert on July 7th and I just can't be there, which means that I can't pay either :).
