[nabs-l] The Future of Nemeth?

My=20issue=20with=20this=20is=20that:=20As=20stated=20before,=20if=20a=20ne=
w=20code=20were=20
to=20be=20implemented,=20we'd=20have=20to=20learn=20it,=20when=20we=20could=
=20keep=20what=20
we=20have=20and=20not=20have=20to=20learn=20a=20thing.=20=20As=20others=20o=
n=20here=20have=20
said,=20(and=20IMO)=20it's=20better=20separately.

The=20appeal=20of=20a=20unified=20code=20is=20that=20there=20is=20only=20on=

learn,=20instead=20of=20learning=20one=20code=20for=20reading,=20one=20for=

and=20one=20for=20computer=20symbols.=20=20Computer=20braille,=20for=20exam=
ple,=20is
rather=20clunky=20and=20unwieldy.

I=20don't=20really=20have=20a=20strong=20opinion=20about=20whether=20a=20un=
ified=20code
would=20be=20better=20than=20the=20current=20systems=20used.=20=20But=20hav=
ing=20one
code=20does=20seem=20like=20it=20might=20simplify=20things.

unified=20braille=20system=20will=20be=20adopted=20in=20the=20U.S.=20=20whi=

integrates=20math=20and=20literary=20braille.=20=20This=20seems=20like=20a
challenging=20problem=20to=20solve,=20and=20widespread=20adoption=20of=20a=
=20new
code=20will=20take=20quite=20a=20while,=20but=20fortunately=20better=20mind=
s=20than
mine,=20such=20as=20Dr.=20=20Nemeth,=20have=20started=20working=20on=20this=
=20problem.
