[nabs-l] College

As a BrailleNote user, I see a few problems with that suggestion.
Firstly, I don't know about calculus, but I do know that in my
Algebra 1 class, I am unable to do some things on my
BrailleNote's scientific calculator that the sighted students use
their graphing calculators for, such as calculating line of best
fit. Secondly, since the BrailleNote doesn't support the Nemeth
code directly, it's hard to show work and do math calculations
using Keyword, the word-processing program for the BrailleNote.
You can do limited math using computer Braille, although there
are some
math symbols that are only in Nemeth, and can't be done using
computer Braille; for example, geometry symbols and symbols for
lines. Other than that, the BrailleNote's calculator is great.

Just use the Braille note.
Leave the Brailler alone.

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on this.
I'm taking Calculus 2 in college and have to carry around
several
Braille volumes so that I can keep up, a Brailler, my
BrailleNote, Braille paper, and an APH Graphing Aid for
Mathematics, all in a huge rolling bag. I have reason to think
that all this is messing up my back. I don't know how to
lighten
the load, but I can't keep carrxing it. I've already talked
with
the Office for Students with Disabilities coordinator, but they
don't have any Braillers. How do any others on this list who
are
taking classes with huge Braille books and other things like
this
do it? Do you use a large bag like I do? Any advice here would
be
 great! Thanks.
