[nabs-l] files in protected view

Are you checking your email via Outlook or are you doing it logged in online??
If you are checking your email via Outlook, what you might want to do
is go into the preferences/settings to disable the protected view
permanently.

Another way to access an attachment via Outlook is to continuously tab
around the message window until you get to the attachments field, then
arrow left or right to the attachment that you want.
Use the applications key to open a submenu and arrow down to the option Save As.
The one important thing that you want to check for once the file is
saved into your computer is to go to the saved file, use applications
key for the submenu, and select the option Properties.
Make sure that there is no Unblock button below the Advanced button in
the properties dialogue box.
If there is a Unblock button, activate the button and the file should
be workable.
The annoying thing about having to unblock the file manually through
the properties dialogue box is that the properties dialogue box
becomes unavailable whenever the Unblock button is activated.
In order to apply change, use Alt+Tab as if navigating between windows
until the properties dialogue box comes up, afterwards, tab down to
activate the apply button and then the OK button.
This is the only work around I know of and have always used.
