[nabs-l] files in protected view

Hi all,
If you do use the Gmail web interface, viewing documents as HTML is a
great quick way to view an attachment. I find that searching is much
easier in HTML than it is in Word and it is also a very efficient and
accessible way to view PDF files and PowerPoint presentations. In
fact, when I have a PDF article, I will often email it to myself as an
attachment and then view it in HTML just to take advantage of the
navigational ease. However, note that this does not work with scanned
PDF's. If you want to read a scanned PDF quickly, and have Gmail, what
I would recommend is to send the PDF to
convert at robobraille.org
with the word "doc" in the subject line and nothing in the message
body. RoboBraille will send the file back to you in Word format and
you can then view it in HTML.
Best,
Arielle
