Winona,
Your choice of taking latin for that reason was fine.
But I don't think that would be very accessible online. You need to see the
spellings of words, where as spanish you spell phoenetically by hearing the
words except for the h which is silent.
You could alway s take latin at school as an elective later.
I haven't done foreign languages with a pc, but I've looked at a spanish
website or two when I was in high school spanish.
I also suggest spanish as others have, because I know jaws pronounces words
fairly well.
I also believe learning it has practical applications as spanish is spoken a
lot in the US. But, you need to see the spellings still, at least at the
beginning, so I hope you have a braille display to read those words.
Good luck,
Ashley

Hello All,
I have to take two credits of one foreign language in order to meet
graduation requirements. Because of scheduling, I have to take at
least the first credit of the foreign language online through Florida
Virtual School. I'm enro lled in Latin I currently. I'm having trouble
learning the language and all the different word endings. What is
Spanish like? Which course do you think is more accessible with JAWS
14?
If I continue with Latin, I will have to take Latin I and Latin II
online. (The main reason why I wanted to try Latin is so I can improve
my English vocabulary since most of the English language is from Latin
roots.) My school doesn't offer Latin.
If I took Spanish I online, I could take Spanish II at school.
What are your thoughts?
Winona
