Well, it could be that the app scans the card automatically like the
LookTell Money Reader app does. However, this is not the case with CamCard.

Hi Helga,

Yes, as I recal, it is free.  I don't often receive business cards, though I
expect I probably will be doing so in the near future, so I really hope this
app works and is accessible.
