Good day all,
Karl, you have accurately addressed my ideas for such an interest group. My goal would never be to further isolate anyone. My interst in such a group stems from knowing friends who have struggled with feeling isolated because of their additional disability. It's always sad to see a person leave the Federation because they didn't feel as if they "fit" in because they are not just blind.
Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions. If anyone is intersted in such a group, feel free to contact me off list so we don't clutter the listserv.

No one is suggesting segregating people with multiple disabilities into a special division; the idea is to create a space where people with multiple disabilities can address the issues that matter to them while still participating in the Federation and in general society. All the reasons you give for not creating a new division if you follow them through should lead to there being no federation either.
