Elif, Thank you for the response.
The recordings are not confidential, but I have multiple recordings 
which I want to cut certain portions from, so learning how to use the 
sound forge program you mentioned would be useful to me in a long term.
How can I obtain this software and where could I learn how to use it?

Yes, I use it without scripts.
It is like working on ms word. you can cut, coppy or paste any voice
segment to anywhere.
You can convert audio files. You can add different voice segments back
to back or on to each other. You can add bacround music to a
conversation. you can make faster or slowdown the voice and etc.
you have almost endless options
