Miso,

Software can be expensive and I don't know how much you can pay for it.
Sound Forge is a Sony product, so I would think you would buy it from Sony
online or via phone.
But there are less expensive and less fancy alternatives. You might try
audacity which I know is free; its open source online. Also the software
named goldwave might be able to edit files and delete portions of the files
which is what you want.
Goldwave is also a software online and I think there is a free trial of it.

I haven't used these softwares, but I heard they work with jaws.

good luck.
Ashley

Hello NABS,
Hope everyone is having a nice winter break.

I am trying to cut out a segment of mp3 file and save it asa separate
file. (i.e., about 1 hour long mp3 and I want to keep just a few
minutes of the entire file)
What is the best way to accomplish this on a PC with JAWS 16?
Thank you in advance for anyone's feedback.
Miso
