Good morning Miso and all,
I have had great success with Foobar 2000. It may seem inaccessible
at first glance, but once you create hot keys for all necessary actions, it
is awesome. Let me know if I can help if you choose to use this software.

Happy holidays!

Miso,

Software can be expensive and I don't know how much you can pay for it.
Sound Forge is a Sony product, so I would think you would buy it from Sony
online or via phone.
But there are less expensive and less fancy alternatives. You might try
audacity which I know is free; its open source online. Also the software
named goldwave might be able to edit files and delete portions of the files
which is what you want.
Goldwave is also a software online and I think there is a free trial of it.

I haven't used these softwares, but I heard they work with jaws.

good luck.
Ashley

Hello NABS,
Hope everyone is having a nice winter break.

I am trying to cut out a segment of mp3 file and save it asa separate file.
(i.e., about 1 hour long mp3 and I want to keep just a few minutes of the
entire file) What is the best way to accomplish this on a PC with JAWS 16?
Thank you in advance for anyone's feedback.
Miso
