[nabs-l] NFB training centers and rehab-please help

Hi Vejas,
Didn't you say you were from New York? 
I am from New York. I know here we do not have a rehab center that is residential. That is a pretty good start. LCB is a good choice I know so many people who have gone or who plan to go. 
The duration of the program helps too. It's like three months long at least. 
I'm sure you know what skills you need which is what you need to stress. 
The argument is what is a residential program going to give you that a week by week O&M or rehab person can not? Why can't some lighthouse person come help you? 
What kind of experience and opportunities are you going to get at LCB? 
I think one really nice one is mentored who are blind who are able to guide you through your journey to independence. Who can argue with that.
I hope this helps with starting your process. I know it is not easy.
