Good Morning,
there are a few ways you can try to get to a national convention.
someone has already touched on voc rehab as an option.
your state affiliate or local chapter might have funds to assist members in going to national and state conventions.
the NFB has a scholarship set aside which is funded by members of the organization that has been set up to assist first time convention participants to experience all of what convention iss. I am sure that there are a few people on the list that have made good use of that fund and can tell you how valuable it is.
NFB Training centers take their students to national convention as a part of their training.
Finally people do pay their own way. If you can save the money, you can pay for a flight and share room costs with two to three other folks. this helps greatly with the expense and honestly, If you are really taking advantage of the opportunity to be at convention you’ll only be in your room just long enough to sleep, shower , change , etc.
 hth
