[nabs-l] Anyone with Experience working at Construction Sites?

Good evening,

My college's chapter of Habitat for Humanity is taking a trip over Spring
Break to help build homes in West Virginia. I was recently approached by
the president of our chapter. She mentioned that the construction managers
might not want me to be
presentat the place where the home is being constructed for safety reasons,
and because I could potentially make a mistake that could seriously damage
the home. I have very limited experience  working in construction.

So my question is, Is there anyone out there who has worked at construction
sites, or has built homes with Habitat for humanity? How were you able to
contribute? What barriers or obstacles did you have to overcome? Please
