Training centers wouldn't be necessary for people who are blind from an early age if better training could be provided in high school. For some people, that is simply not possible. I was able to get some training in high school, but not a lot because I lived in a small town with few blind people. So, a training center might be helpful for me.
However, I don't know if I will attend a training center, but I might consider it if I can go for a few months rather than a full year. Maybe after undergrad.
