[nabs-l] Internships was Re: "Conversation starter"/question related to the field of study you are pursuing

Hi,
I completely agree. I just wish that there were more remote internship opportunities available for students who may be unable to travel outside their community for an internship due to family or other commitments. While I certainly realize that the validity of remote or online work or education is a personal decision, I do think that having skills in working with remote teams is beneficial in the workforce today.
For any of you who have been involved in an internship at all, what was your experience? What did you gain from your internship that you will take with you for the remainder of your education and career? How did your internship prepare you for your future career goals?

Best wishes, Miranda
