[nabs-l] IPhone help urgently needed; VoiceOver has disappeared

This is a bug which is been plaguing many iPhones, including mine, since the iOS 10 upgrade. What usually resolves it for me is telling Siri to turn voiceover off, then waiting a few seconds, then holding down the home button to launch Siri again, and telling her to turn voiceover on. Hope this helps

When I tell Siri to turn on VoiceOver, she says it's already on, and when I try any gestures on the screen, nothing seems to happen. Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I can do to resolve it.
