[nabs-l] Neo-Braille

My understanding is that the keyboard case doubles the weight of
the device, and I've seen lots of people complaining that it
doesn't keep up when you're typing quickly. Also, until there's
a QWERTY version of one of these new devices, they can pry my
Apex out of my cold dead hands.

Well. Just because you have a braille note touch, doesn't mean
you
have to use touch braille if you don't want to. There is a
physical
Perkins keyboard that is built into the case you get with your
touch.
I'm looking forward to seeing if I like touch braille or not.

 Hi Ashley,
The main reason I want to get a Neo-Braille is because I am not
a huge fan
of Touch Braille. I prefer the feel of typing on a keyboard than
a screen.

 Vejas,

Please share your experiences about the product when you get it.
I assume
 you saw it at convention.
What made you decide to get it versus other new notetakers such
as the
Braille Note touch? It seems like the Touch and Neo braille do
much the
same thing. Although, I think the Neo braille can access more
mainstream
programs on the internet like drop box and even skype.

 Hi,
I just wanted to inform all of you who are considering obtaining
a Neo-Braille that I have found out yesterday that the release
date has been pushed back to the end of February, which explains
the limited discussion about it within the general public. If
you go to the Irie AT website, and click on "contact us", you
can
email to ask them to tell you when it's out, or ask them any
 further questions.
 Vejas
