Hello all,
I have not written to this list in awhile as I have been quite busy.
I recently changed my major from psychology to biology with a genetics focus. I am also considering a double major in pre-medicine because it is only a few more classes, some of which I planned to take anyway. My question deals with strategies for tackling very visual lab classes such as general chemistry and later, organic chemistry. Have any of you taken these courses and have any strategies you have used to complete the courses that you wouldn’t mind sharing with me? I am a completely blind student. As of now I have a lab assistant in the courses I need one in, and my chemistry professor builds model kits of pertinent molecule information for me. We use the Aleks program for homework and I have someone, the lab assistant I spoke of earlier, help me with that. I wonder though if there might be a better way to do the homework. My goal for the future is to do genetics research so this information from my lab sciences is incredibly important.
Thank you,
Logan
