[nabs-l] Part time job

Hey everyone 
I got a part time job at cafe wing hut on campus. I was wondering how do you guys use a register as a blind person and know the person's number on the reciet. I am scared and worried about this job. I am not worried about cleaning and taking calls. 
Is this job hard to do as a blind person because i am not sure if the register is going to be touch screen.
Also is it ok to ask the person who is giving me cash to ask what dollar bill they are giving.
