Applicants should have disability inclusion experience and interest in issues of civil rights.
Fabulous opportunity to raise disability awareness through an intersectional civil rights and economic empowerment lens.

Are you interested in attending national conferences for free and giving a voice and a face to disability issues? If so, apply to become a Disability Ambassador: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3220834/Scholarship-Application-2017<http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3220834/Scholarship-Application-2017>

Deadline is June 16, 2017; 4 pm PT.

2016 marked the launch of the WID-JPMorgan Chase & Co. Conference Accessibility Initiative. In 2017, this exciting pioneering work continues.

For this effort, WID, in partnership with JPMorgan Chase, is actively striving to make community development and policy conferences more accessible to, and inclusive of, people with disabilities. Across America, convenings of civil rights and community development organizations help to set the economic opportunity agenda. Unless the conferences fully integrate disability access issues into their content–and people with disabilities are present–the needs and perspectives of the disability community will be largely left out of the discussion.
