Hello,
My employer has started hosting events in which they invite us to
watch TED Talks, a nonprofit organization that publishes videos on a
variety of topics. They announced that they are doing Peer TED Talks.
I found out yesterday that I have been selected as one of eight
finalists to present to a small panel of managers and peers before
presenting to the entire company. My topic is assistive technology for
the visually impaired. I will be discussing JAWS, Nvda, refreshable
braille displays, notetakers, and Ios devices using Voiceover. I plan
to do a quick demo of JAWS and Voiceover, but I am running into a
problem. I cannot do the rotor nor can I type confidently on the
touchscreen. I don't want to not do the demo since I indicated in my
presentation plan that I would do it, but at the same time, I don't
want my inability to demonstrate a device to impact my presentation. I
can do the JAWS demo no problem, but what should I ddo about this
Voiceover issue? I've tried several techniques for the rotor, but I
just can't seem to get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to write me offlist at piano.girl0299 at gmail.com.
Thank you,
Kelsey Nicolay
