Hello everyone,

This is Melody Roane from the Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the 
Blind and Vision Impaired in Richmond, VA.  We are hiring three 
individuals who are successful college students or young 
professionals to serve as mentors for our summer youth program, 
Learning Independence, Feeling Empowered! (LIFE.)  If you are 
selected to be a mentor, you will have the opportunity to gain 
valuable work experience to prepare you for your career choice, and 
you will get to take part in confidence-building activities such as 
whitewater rafting, high rope adventure course, zip lining, 
improvisation training, etc.  You will also have the opportunity to 
work alongside some of the most talented instructors in the Field and 
learn from them.  You will work with up to twenty-two blind high 
school students from around the state of Virginia who are eager to be 
encouraged and inspired by you.
