[NABS-L] Math in high school

Hi, 
I would absolutely insist on the normal pace. As someone who experienced difficulty in high school math due to a lack of accommodation, I would push for a meeting to discuss proper accommodation in the class: accessible PowerPoint availability, tactile graphics, Braille, etc. I would also stress to the instructor that they not point at things and say “this” or “that.” This can be very stressful in a visual subject. If I had it to do again, I would push harder for accommodations and demand the same pace as my fellow students.

In some ways, I believe she is capable of doing it given the right instruction and time. However, I’m a bit skeptical on whether that will be the case in high school. I’m an engineer and I can and do always work with her, but certainly it is better if that doesn’t become necessary. Please let me know your thoughts and feel free to ask if you have any questions.
