Hi Mikayla!

Great to hear you will be speaking about the Transformation to
Competitive Employment Act (TCEA). A few good resources I could
provide would be the following links:

Section 14C Certificate Holders
https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/workers-with-disabilities/section-14c/certificate-holders

National Disability Employment Policy: From the New Deal to the Real
Deal: Joining the Industries of the Future
https://ncd.gov/publications/2018/new-deal-real-deal

The first link describes the specific organizations having Section 14C
certificates & the second link is a report issued by the National
Council on Disability a non-partisan group advising the United States
Congress & the President on disability related issues.

The report has great points that would be a great resource for you to
prepare your written remarks.

Also, related to publishing in your school's newspaper on the TCEA,
this would be wonderful if the school publishes your written work.
One of the initiatives of the Legislative Advocacy Committee of the
National Association of Blind Students has been related to encouraging
students to write articles for their student newspaper on how ending
Sub-minimum wages would impact Blind Students.

So I wish you the best of luck on all these activities!

Thanks,

Justin Young
