Are you able to help lead one of these virtual learning modules early next year?
Mastering Standardized Testing 1/3/22
After completing this module, students will be knowledgeable of standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP and subject matter tests). They will understand the differences between these tests, the registration process, and the process of requesting and obtaining accommodations.
Topics Addressed:
1. What is a standardized test and why does it matter?
2. How to register, prepare, and obtain accommodations for standardized test
3. The accommodations process in high-stakes testing
Using Access Technology to Communicate in School and the Workplace 1/11/22
After completing this module, students will understand how to effectively present information to various audiences using PowerPoint and other audiovisual presentation platforms. In addition, students will recognize the importance of integrating presentation tools into their access technology plan.
Topics Addressed:
1. Exploring accessibility as it relates to PowerPoint and other audiovisual presentation platforms
2. Training in the use of access technology for presentations
3. Integration of presentation tools into an access technology plan
Scholarship Opportunities 2/1/22
After completing this module, students will be familiar with the college scholarship application process, be able to research available scholarship opportunities and
complete a college scholarship application.
Topics Addressed:
1. How to complete a scholarship application
2. Ways to learn about available scholarship opportunities
Introduction to the College Application Process | 3/7/22
After completing this module, students will have an understanding of the college application process and be familiar with various online tools for researching colleges and universities, including information about college disability services, the entity’s commitment to accessibility, and available scholarships.
Topics Addressed:
1. Factors to consider when researching colleges and universities
2. Use of online college exploration tools
