Hi Seyoon,
Short answer: No R Studio is not accessible.
Blind folks usually use R straight through using R rather than R studio, and in terminal mode.
I have not touched R in some time so I can't give more advice here, but Google Let's Use R Now - it is a guide written for blind R users by a blind statistician in New Zealand.
Also, there is a NFBnet listserv dedicated to blind R users Look that up as well, if this is going to be something you will work on for some time.
In mid-work day so pardon not being able to include actual links.
All my best,
Miso

Subject: [NABS-L] Accessibility of R and R-Studio

Hey NABS,

I hope all are well. I’ll keep this email brief, but I wanted to ask for anyone here who took statistics course in some form or another. My statistics course is using a software called R, in conjunction with R studio. I primarily use a Mac but also familiar with Windows.. I installed R and R Studio on both Mac and Windows and am wondering about the accessibility of R studio. Since most of my coursework will use R studio, I would love to know of any tips or tricks to navigate through R and R studio.

Warmly
Seyoon
