Fellow Blind Students and Recent Graduates:

There is still time for you to participate in the Student Access Moments (SAM) Competition!

Before January 7, 2021, we invite you to submit a 60-second video clip telling a personal accessibility story about instructional materials in higher education.

Tell a story-good or bad-about an experience you had with accessible or inaccessible instructional materials in higher education.

If you are not in college yet, tell us about your fears about inaccessible instructional materials in higher education based on what you've heard from all the college students ahead of you.

If possible, make it so that your video background is a famous place on your college campus that alumni will recognize. Do this by either going there in person to record your video outside like a news reporter or by using a Zoom virtual background with an image of that part of your campus.

Submit your video by posting it on Facebook and/or Twitter, using the hashtag #StudentAccessMoments so that all of our networks can find your video!

When you post your video, try nominating three other blind students or recent graduates to tell their stories.

Here are some guidelines for the competition:

     * Videos must be no longer than 60 seconds.
     * Submissions are due by January 7, 2021.
     * Video submissions may be used in video promotions to educate the public about the accessibility barriers faced by blind students in higher education.
     * The best videos will be in landscape mode, clean, professional, articulate, and carry a tone that supports a belief in the right of blind students to equal access in higher education.
     * We expect to have many great submissions, so, if yours is not chosen by the judges, please understand that it may still have been very good and may still be included in future public education efforts.

The top 3 winners will receive gift card prizes! Thank you, everyone, for your authenticity!

If you have any questions, please reach out!

We can do this.

Aloha,

Justin
